about nextgen athletics

THE RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF PROGRESS

NextGen Athletics exists to help youth athletes develop, both in sport and life. It's our mission to build dedicated, relentless athletes with integrity to give them the best opportunity to unlock their ultimate potential. Every brutal workout, every final rep, and every painful failure is endured for a single purpose: the relentless pursuit of progress.

Dr. dusty campbell

Founder, PT, DPT, Athletic Development Coach

Dusty created NextGen Athletics after years of treating youth athletes in South Jordan, Utah and noticing a common trend. Utah youth athletes are NOT being taught exercise technique nor how to improve athleticism in a progressive, safe manner.

He believes that it is his mission to bridge the gap between inexperience and full tilt performance as efficiently as possible while educating his athletes on injury prevention.

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (University of Utah 2019)

  • 10-Year Strength and Conditioning Coach

  • College Hockey Player for West Virginia University (2010-2014)

  • 4 Years Tier II Junior Hockey

When I'm not working, I’m working… but between that, I spend my time with my wife (Renee), new daughter (Zoey), and dog hiking, snowboarding, and exploring Utah's beautiful mountains.

Syd Peck, EOU Soccer and Track

“Because of you, I was able to run in Region, PR in my 300 meter hurdles AND take first in all of my events today!”

Lilly Thomas, D1 women's rugby

As a competitive rugby player I am very picky on my rehabilitation and encounter a lot on injuries playing such an intense contact sport. Dusty was super important in my recovery to multiple injuries and I can't recommend him enough! PT with Dusty was super productive and very informative as well. I always knew exactly what was going on with my body and what steps I needed to take to progress. You won't find someone as supportive as him! Thank you Dusty!
