about nextgen athletics
Dr. dusty campbell
Founder, PT, DPT, Athletic Development Coach
Dusty created NextGen Athletics after years of treating youth athletes in South Jordan, Utah and noticing a common trend. Utah youth athletes are NOT being taught exercise technique nor how to improve athleticism in a progressive, safe manner.
He believes that it is his mission to bridge the gap between inexperience and full tilt performance as efficiently as possible while educating his athletes on injury prevention.

When I’m not working, I’m working… but between that, I spend my time with my wife (Renee), new daughter (Zoey), and dog hiking, snowboarding, and exploring Utah’s beautiful mountains.
Colin Gordon
Athletic Development Coach
My passion for athletic development comes from years of competing at high levels of baseball and experiencing firsthand what quality coaching and intentional training can do for an athlete.
After playing Division I baseball and spending 4 years in professional baseball, I developed a deep appreciation for training with purpose. Too many athletes are taught to simply work hard or get strong without learning how to properly move, train, recover, and develop long-term.
I believe athleticism is built through intentional training, not punishment workouts or chasing social media trends.
At NextGen Athletics, my goal is to help athletes build confidence through movement quality, strength development, and competitive discipline while learning how to train the right way for long-term success.
– Former Professional Baseball Player (2021-25)

– college baseball University of Louisiana Monroe (2019-2020)
– Bachelors in Kinesiology / Pre-Physical Therapy
– Baseball Skills & Performance Coach (7 years)
When I’m not coaching, I’m usually spending time with my wife (Brooke), fly fishing, being outdoors, watching baseball, or continuing to study athlete performance and development.

PT was super productive and informative. I always knew exactly what was going on with my body and what steps I needed to take to progress.
